ANDRITZ successfully starts up the ninth shoe press for Lee & Man Paper, Malaysia
International technology group ANDRITZ has successfully started up another PrimePress X shoe press for Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing Ltd. at its Best Eternity Recycle Technology mill in Banting, Malaysia.
This installation marks the ninth shoe press delivered to Lee & Man Paper by ANDRITZ and the sixth PrimePress X shoe press installed in Malaysia, further strengthening the close and trustful cooperation between the two companies.
The PrimePress X shoe press, designed for 1,250 N/mm, is integrated into the PM26 containerboard machine, which operates at a speed of up to 1,000 m/min and produces high-quality testliner with a basis weight ranging from 70 to 160 gsm. The shoe press features an ANDRITZ PrimeRoll X and a PrimeRoll HV-Smart anti-deflection roll, along with an impulse shoe press belt.
The successful startup of this shoe press will lead to significant energy savings, improved machine runnability, especially at lower basis weights, and enhanced final paper strength properties. This achievement underscores ANDRITZ's commitment to providing innovative and efficient solutions that help customers optimize their production processes and achieve greater sustainability.
Mr. Chen Liming, Head of Projects, Lee & Man Paper Manufacturing, says: "We are thrilled with the successful startup of the PrimePress X shoe press as it not only enhances our production capabilities but also underscores the strong and trustful partnership we have with ANDRITZ."
With this latest installation, ANDRITZ further strengthens its position as a leading supplier of innovative and sustainable technology for paper manufacturers in Malaysia.
Established in 1994, Lee & Man Paper produces linerboards and corrugating medium for various industrial packaging purposes. The group operates five paper mills and one pulp mill in China as well as several production facilities in Vietnam, Malaysia, and other countries.
